Bicycling Under the Influence is illegal in Chico as well as the rest of California, as it is explicitly outlined in the California Vehicle Code Section 21200. Some say that the law is selectively enforced in Chico, that it targets particular people and is most widely enforced in West Chico where the college students are more prominent.
